Terry Brown is serving in his second term as a State Representative, representing North Carolina's 92nd House District. In 2023 Terry was elected to serve as the House Democratic Whip for the 2023-2024 Session. Terry is an accomplished litigation attorney in Charlotte where he lives in Steele Creek with his wife Arielle, their pet turtle, Terra, and lab-mix, Pharaoh.
Growing up as the son of two public school educators, the values of service, education, and community were instilled in Terry from the very beginning. Terry watched his parents sacrifice to provide their students the opportunity to succeed. Terry has experienced all that the Tar Heel State has to offer - from being born and raised in Fayetteville, to working as a field organizer in the dusty back roads of Halifax County, and then to honing his skills as an advocate in Raleigh before settling in Charlotte to start a family and his career as an attorney and public servant.
As a legislator, Terry combines his passions for justice, education, and building a robust economy in order to help strengthen our state and improve the lives of the residents of NC House District 92. Terry's focus is on improving North Carolina's education system, investing in our infrastructure, increasing access to mental health resources and strengthening the middle and working class.
