Kevin R. Crutchfield has lived in the North Carolina Piedmont for nearly half a century. A staunch conservative, grandson of a Kentucky Coal miner and a service station owner, Kevin aspires to earn election to the North Carolina House of Representatives in 2022. Kevin Is a lifelong Republican.
A University of North Carolina at Charlotte alumnus, Kevin and his wife, Cheryl, raised three sons in Cabarrus County schools where they were all extremely active in sports. Kevin coached soccer, baseball, basketball and football teams including YMCA, recreational, middle school, and as an adjunct high school kicking coach.
Devoted to family values, Kevin and Cheryl have also been selfless in supporting area charities including sponsoring their company, Casco Signs', Habitat for Humanity Home Building Project and assisting area students with STEM projects and industry application efforts. They regularly donate services and signage to support area non-profit organizations including Special Olympics, Cooperative Christian Ministries, the Community Free Clinic, and others.
After completing a fifteen-year career at IBM, Kevin desired to start a business. Initially, he earned his North Carolina contractor's license and began building homes. In 1998, Kevin and Cheryl founded Casco Signs which has grown to become a multimillion dollar entity. Casco has become the region's premiere sign company providing employment for more than fifty individuals and servicing clients around the country including: Harris Teeter, Autobell Carwash, Firebirds, La Madelines, Carolina Panthers, and many businesses from the mom and pop start-up to the corporate stage. The list is endless.
As Casco CFO and General Manager, Kevin is proud to also have served as board member and officer of the United States Sign Council and Southern States Sign Council. He served on the Cabarrus County GOP Board, Rowan Cabarrus Community College Foundation Board, the Hospitality and Tourism Authority of Charlotte Board and Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Board. He is a member of the International Car Wash Association.
Kevin and Cheryl jointly manage their other three businesses including The Crutchfield Group, a real estate holding company and equipment leasing operation; Castaway Properties, LLC. as the majority owner and managing partner; and their most recent venture, Crutchfield Farms located on Mt Pleasant Road in Midland where they provide high quality local farm raised beef to the public.
Kevin and Cheryl's most prized accomplishment is their family consisting of three sons and daughters-in-law and nine amazing grandchildren from ages 8 months to 12 years, all being raised in the greater Concord area. Family, his and yours, is why he seeks election to represent District 83 in the North Carolina House of Representatives.
