John Paul Jordan currently serves as your trusted conservative voice in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. John Paul is a lifelong resident of Canadian County, and has been a practicing attorney in Oklahoma and Canadian Counties for almost 7 years. John Paul attended The University of Central Oklahoma and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a minor in History. While at UCO he was privileged to serve as Student Body President, and oversaw the opening of the Health and Wellness Center and the renovation of Wantland Stadium. For his exemplary work he was honored to receive a key to the University.
John Paul’s background uniquely qualifies him to fight for children and families at the Capitol. Inspired by his Mother’s 29 years teaching and passion for education, John Paul served as an inner-city school teacher, teaching 8th Grade U.S. History and Government at Roosevelt Middle School in Oklahoma City. While teaching, John Paul saw the frustration of teachers, students and parents, as they dealt with a public education system struggling with a government overreaching its bounds. It became quickly apparent that a lot of decisions were being made outside the classroom and then forced upon the schools limiting local involvement. Moreover, John Paul began dealing with bureaucracy in the form of Oklahoma’s DHS system, finding them overburdened to help children in dire need. Because of these frustrations, John Paul made the decision to attend law school to become an advocate for others.
John Paul and his wife Christi have been married since 2007 and have made Yukon their permanent home. They have been blessed to be members of Trinity Baptist Church of Yukon and have served on the Guest Services Team.
Though accepted at many prestigious law schools out of state, John Paul felt he could get the best education staying in Oklahoma where he planned to be actively involved in the lives of his fellow Oklahomans. He received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Oklahoma College of Law while clerking and interning 30 hours per week at a local law firm, volunteering at a Christian Legal Clinic and serving on the Board of Directors for a Crisis Pregnancy Center.
With a brother in law enforcement and with personal experience, John Paul understands the struggles our communities face in providing the resources necessary to properly protect and serve.
In 2010, John Paul founded The Jordan Law Firm to support the families and small businesses of our outstanding community. He is currently active with the Oklahoma and Canadian County Bar Associations and is licensed to practice in all of the Federal Courts in Oklahoma. In addition to running his own small business, John Paul also served as an adjunct professor at Redlands Community College, before being elected to the State House.

Along with the typical cases that come with a general practice, John Paul sought out unique and varied cases and has fought to protect our Conservative Values.
These include:
-Successfully won an injunction to protect a 15 year old girl from being forced to have an abortion.
-Successfully defended two pastors who were arrested and jailed for “preaching without a permit.”
– Finally, while other candidates are talking about fighting Obamacare, John Paul successfully helped win an injunction to stop Obamacare in Oklahoma’s Christian Universities.
