Suzanne Schreiber is a respected leader in the Tulsa community who was elected as the State Representative for District 70 in 2022. She currently serves on Banking, Financial Services, & Pensions, Energy & Natural Resources, Judiciary Civil, and Human Services A & B Committees. Schreiber believes public service is an important role in helping our communities thrive and is passionate about finding ways to put people over politics to solve real problems that allow our families and state to grow and thrive.
Schreiber's public service journey began when she was elected to the Tulsa Public School Board in 2014 and re-elected in 2018, serving as both President and Vice President during her eight-year tenure. She is a strong advocate for public education in Oklahoma and has been recognized for her contributions to the community, including being honored as a Tulsa Woman of the Year in 2016. Suzanne also serves on the board of Oklahoma Watch and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.
In addition to her public service role, Representative Schreiber has worked as a senior program officer for a large foundation since 2011, leading various projects and policy initiatives that align with the organization's mission to create equal opportunity for young children. Prior to her current role , Ms. Schreiber practiced law for many years and clerked in the federal courts. She holds a law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law as well as a Bachelor of Science in political science and law and society from the University of Tulsa.
Schreiber and her husband Tony have four children Sadie, Spencer, Stella and Shepard. She loves to find partners to work with on her daily work of recruiting and retaining people to the wonderful treasure that is the state of Oklahoma. She is a political news junkie, a solid cook, a compulsive recycler and full-on country music lover. Originally from New Mexico, she spends lots of time traveling between her beautiful home-state to see family and Tulsa, the city that she loves so much and has made her home.
